Kristina Michelle Kelly
Baker, Pastry Maker,
And Porsche Performance Driving Instructor
Kristina started her baking career with towering, elaborate wedding cakes. After reluctantly tolerating the wedding industry, rife with its incessant Bridezillas, she deftly made the switch
to 3-dimensional, carved, and airbrushed cakes.
She studied under the genius tutelage of such baking luminaries as Mike McCarey of Mike's Amazing Cakes, Marina Sousa, Two Sweet Sisters, and Lauren Kitchens, all veterans of the Food Network.
Kristina has taught the art of cake decorating in culinary education classes at local high schools. Striking out on her own she has encouraged her free spirit, prompting her to make bigger and bolder designs. Always forward thinking, she is especially proud of her proficient use of a variety of power tools and her amazing use of a blow torch.

Mario’s passion for race cars, and food began early. He was born in car-centric Southern California into a family of Italian immigrants. In the early 1960’s, at the age of ten, he journeyed with his parents to Rome, Italy. His mother’s family ran the same wholesale fruit and produce business for 130 years and his father’s family was in the stone and concrete business. No joke!
While he was growing up in the 1960’s, he was “cementing” his passion by engineering and building ever-faster cars and motorcycles.
The “apple” and “cinder-block” didn't fall far from mom and dad, and he learned the essence of what it is to be a Roman lover of authentically prepared food and beautifully built, fast, beautifuly built race cars.
He joined his uncle on produce-buying trips, and preparing meals in the family kitchen with his mother and aunts brought him to understand the meaning of food and family. Changing tires and watching his father tune an engine by ear and feel, he learned that “meals and wheels” would forever be linked.
He didn’t receive much structured schooling then, but what he learned was way more educational for what was to come.
He will be sharing that passion with his chef colleagues in "Chefs At The Wheel”
